I find that having a large family can be rather amusing. It’s fun to watch people’s reactions and think of interesting replies to comments about the many children we have. Actually, five is not so many compared to some. To others, it’s a bunch.
Although this post is not very food-related, it is family related, it comes from my heart and my humorous side, and I thought it would be fun to share with whoever stumbles along to this blog. If you’re looking for recipes, click around in my archives or categories. I will be back tomorrow with more of them.
In the meantime, You might have a big family if…
You can’t fit your kids AND your groceries in your vehicle at the same time.
Either the washing machine or the dishwasher is running most of the day.
You consider having (or DO have) a water fountain in your house.
You know the recipe for birthday cake by heart.
When you get invited to dinner, you arrive to find that your host or hostess have prepared enough for a small army. Then you realize your kids LOOK like a small army.
The packages at the warehouse club are not large enough.
Your dining room table has three leaves and it is still not large enough.
You ask the neighbor kid to come along so you can get the group discount at the zoo.
You quit trying to make things even for everyone long ago. Instead you say, “Sorry, life’s not fair.”
You have children in every age category: teenage, middle school, elementary, preschool, and nursery.
