Thanks to my sister Sue for picking up my slack yesterday. I shoulda thought of that sooner. Five days without internet is too many. All is well here now at my mini-in-home-network. I will definitely try your idea about the pork roast. Sounds yummy.
Another thanks to my husband and son, who worked hard at making my internet work again. Also, bravo to they guys from AT & T tech support for helping them.
I’ve been blogging for almost a year now. My renewal is due, and enough of you have told me how much you enjoy reading my kitchen adventures that I want to continue. I had hoped to earn enough money through ads to pay for another year of service. Since this hasn’t happened, I would appreciate any donations. Simply slide down to the bottom of this page and click the “make a donation” button.
I apologize for this, but I had to stop allowing comments on this blog. The reason is that I was getting so much spam. Most of it was too explicit to mention here, the most wholesome was online gambling. (Picture my eyes rolling now.) Rather than sort through over a hundred spam comments every day, I decided to put a stop to it. If I can find a filter for it that works, I will begin allowing comments once more.
I just got a note from a friend who wants to make noodles like the Amish. They make a saucy, chicken-broth sauce, mix it with the noodles, and pour it over mashed potatoes. If anyone happens to know how to do this, email me — cheryl@familychowhall.com. If I don’t hear from ya, I will try to figure it out on my own.
Starting tomorrow, look for my thoughts, ideas, and a few recipes concerning Thanksgiving Day.
