The Post Thanksgiving Post
November 24th, 2006
It is a real joy to share Thanksgiving with loved ones - whether it be the family you were born into or an “adopted” family of Christian friends. We had two families join ours for a Thanksgiving feast, one new family we just met recently and another family we have known for years.
What a display we set out — appetizers, Turkey, potatoes, pies, and even spaghetti! We had lots of fun… kids ran through the house, teenagers played video games and watched football, adults drank wine and chatted around the table.
One of the best parts about sharing the meal is that you also share the work. I actually had less cooking to do and less cleaning up because we all pitched in together.
Yesterday, I cooked the turkey up-side down — I will tell you more about that later…
And, starting tomorrow, I will offer some ideas on how to use up those Thanksgiving leftovers….
