Here are some non-kitchen ideas for Easter…
Plan on watching The Passion of The Christ together, or — better yet — going to see a Passion play at a nearby church.
Take egg decorating to the next level. Break out the crayons, food coloring, glitter, stickers, etc. By the way, you do NOT need to buy the box with the little coloring pills in it. The food coloring in the back of your pantry does the same job.
Have a scavenger hunt in your neighborhood or at the park. Make a list of unusual items that will be tricky but not impossible to find. Be careful to avoid an organized egg hunt if your community is having one and you’re not into small, chocolate-crazed children running around while you’re having your scavenger hunt.

Hide eggs in your yard or about the house and make a map giving clues as to where they are. This seems like a great idea for my six-year-old who recently has gotten really interested in maps and directions.
Have a cooking contest, similar to Iron Chef. Everyone has to include carrots (or eggs, or whatever) in their recipe.
Buy some bright annuals to plant in your flowerbed, adding new life and color to your home on Easter.
Simply pack a Frisbee, or ball of your choice, a picnic lunch and go spend the day at the park!
