Make Scotch Eggs
What is a Scotch Egg? You might be asking. Personally, I’d never heard of this interesting food until last fall when I took my dear hubby to an English-style pub and he ordered this from the appetizer menu.
A Scotch Egg is a hard-boiled egg (peeled from its shell, of course), wrapped in sausage, covered in fine bread crumbs, and deep-fried.
Before continuing, I must apologize to anyone reading this who is interested in low-fat, low-cholesterol, healthy, nutritious or in any way good-for-you food. I am sorry. These foods exist and some people really enjoy them and find it fun to try. I do have some healthier posts, so browse around in my backlog to find something more appropriate.
To go on, I will admit that I have never made a Scotch Egg (yet) but find the idea fascinating and somewhat naughty, so I think I will try it out this weekend with the leftover Easter eggs in my fridge which have gotten very little attention so far.
